I am deeply passionate about learning and teaching, which fuels my creativity and enthusiasm in the classroom. With 18 years of experience in the Poudre School District, I specialize in providing a diverse education to Newcomer students from various cultures and backgrounds. Building meaningful relationships with students and their families is at the heart of my teaching philosophy. I believe in the value each individual brings to our community and strive to foster empathy, compassion, and respect for human dignity.
I hold a Master’s in Multicultural Education from the University of Colorado Boulder, and beyond the classroom, I also coach the Girl’s Golf team at Boltz. In my free time, I enjoy being active outdoors, nature, reading, exploring new music, traveling, playing board games, animals and spending time with family. Each of these interests enriches my teaching and helps me connect with my students in diverse and meaningful ways.
